Having been active on the cleaning services market in Chișinău for some time, we have encountered numerous situations. We have cleaned apartments, houses, offices, and commercial spaces — from simple maintenance jobs to particularly difficult projects. But sometimes we came across cases that deeply moved us.
People in these situations, due to disabilities, were forced to spend most of their time in their homes, which, for the same reasons, could no longer be properly maintained. Usually, we were contacted by relatives or, sometimes, by neighbors. In some cases, we managed to improve living conditions; in others, loved ones discovered the state of the home too late.
After several discussions within our team, we decided to take action. These people need a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment, yet most of the time they do not have the financial resources to hire a professional cleaning team. Therefore, we decided to offer free assistance, helping several cases each month.
Our first beneficiary was Ms. Tatiana. At 87 years old, she had no close family left. Only her neighbor, Ana—also elderly—helped her from time to time with meals and laundry. The home was covered in a thick layer of dust on furniture, windows, windowsills, and other surfaces, and the air had become heavy and oppressive.
We carried out the cleaning just as we would for any other client: we washed the windows, vacuumed carpets and upholstered furniture, removed stubborn stains, and eliminated dust and hidden mold.
The women were extremely pleased with the result. Through this simple gesture, we provided them with a sense of safety, improved their physical and emotional well-being, and reassured them that they are still cared for and valued. At the same time, the experience strengthened our team spirit, as everyone felt proud to contribute to a meaningful social cause.
Since we are active on social media, we chose to use these platforms to reach as many people as possible. We document each case on our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok pages, and some of the people we have helped found us through these posts—either directly or with the help of social workers. Even now, if you know vulnerable individuals we could help, you can message us on social media or contact us via the phone number listed on our website, homecleaning.md. We review every request and step in where we can make the greatest impact.
At the time of writing this article, the charitable cleaning campaign marks six months, during which we have managed to help more than 10 people. A small number, but with a huge impact on each of them. We continue this initiative because we see real results—better health and a more positive outlook on life among those we support. Thank you to everyone who supports us. Together, we can make Moldova a cleaner and kinder place!
