What is good about ozone
Ozone is a gas, essentially a modification of oxygen. In nature, ozone is produced when an electric discharge (lightning) passes through the air. It is what gives the air that amazing fresh smell after a storm. At the same time, ozone is a toxic and poisonous gas, classified in Moldova as a first-class hazardous substance.
Ozone has very strong oxidizing properties. It is effective against microbes, viruses, mold, and fungi. The process of ozonating an apartment is aimed at a thorough deep disinfection of the premises.
This gas can:
- Disinfect a room much more effectively than chlorine. Firstly, ozone is stronger on its own, and secondly, being a gas, it penetrates everywhere – into cracks and pores.
- Neutralize unpleasant odors (eliminates the cause, rather than masking it).
- Destroy all insects, their nests, and larvae. It even works on dust mites.
- Neutralize mercury vapors (a shout-out to those who break thermometers and then worry about it!).
